Getting into the Groove

Setting up a routine can help you to use your time and effort purposefully. When you program your body into following a routine, you limit the time wasted on making decisions and being distracted. That said, routines shouldn’t become boring and mind-numbing. You must look for new joys in the same activities, which can be done by putting your full effort into the things that you do.

If you feel like you don’t have enough time for anything, try waking up early. This is a time that’s for you only, without any restrictions or obligations. Before sleep, decide on the things you want to accomplish the next day. Visualize the day as you want it to go, but don’t put all your expectations on things going your way. Imagine how it will feel going about your activities as you planned them.

When you go about your day, ease your body into the rhythm that you set. Do everything with intent and focus. Make sure that the time and place where you do things are suited to you.
